Family Fall Festival this Sunday

Runners take advantage of great trails at FortWhyte Alive Photo Store Photo Store

FortWhyte Alive is inviting the community to its annual Fall Family Festival Sept. 22 at 1961 McCreary Rd.

The day runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a reduced admission of $3 each, $10 a carload, and Alive members entering free.

The day will include carnival games such as a ring toss and Frisbee throw, a local farmers market running all day, and a barbecue lunch.

The following is a complete list of events:

 

• Farmers Market with Local Artisans: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Pancake Breakfast:  10 a.m. to noon

• Carnival Games: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Orienteering:  10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Prairie Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre Presentations — Evan Morgan Live: Noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

• Bison Safaris: 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m.

• Bannock Bake:  Noon to 3 p.m.

• Guided Walks:  1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

• Sod House Pioneers:  Noon to 3 p.m. 

• Dipnetting "Fishing for Bugs":  Noon to 3 p.m. 

• Archery:  11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Barbecue lunch and snacks: 11 a.m.
