Move over Prince George Alexander Louis, the snow leopards at the Assiniboine Park Zoo have welcomed two bouncing baby boys into the world.
The cubs were born June 29 and after completing their initial neo-natal exams zoo officials say both are growing and healthy. They are the offspring of first-time parents Batu, 4, and Henry James, 3.
"Both cubs are doing exceptionally well and growing more and more each day," said Gary Lunsford, acting director of zoological operations, in a release. "We expect that within the next few weeks they’ll start exploring on their own, at which point we’ll be able to announce a date for their public debut."
The two cubs, not yet officially named, will remain off-exhibit for another three to four weeks to bond with their mother Batu before making their public debut.
