Pembina Trails School Division’s four high schools came together June 10 and walked to the Manitoba Legislature. The over 1,500 students hoped to bring awareness to the issue of clean and accessible drinking water for residents in Northern Manitoba’s remote communities. The walk was endorsed by Free the Children ambassador Spencer West, a double amputee who climbed Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for clean drinking water in Kenya.
