Party with the Great Catsby Oct. 26

  • Print

Miss the roaring ’20s? Love this year’s cinematic version of The Great Gatsby?

Well, the Winnipeg Humane Society is paying tribute to F. Scott Fitzgerald’s masterpiece with its annual Bow Wow Ball on Oct 26.

It’s the 20th anniversary for the fundraising gala and the theme is "The Great Catsby."

"The Winnipeg Humane Society receives over 8,500 animals each year," said Bill McDonald, WHS CEO, in a release. "Fundraisers like the Bow Wow Ball are essential in providing help for these animals — from veterinary assistance, to behaviour training, to funding SNAP, our subsidized spay and neuter program."

Guests are encouraged to come to the ball decked out in 1920s-inspired clothing, bet on live auction prices — including an eight-day African safari — and enjoy live music courtesy of the Danny Kramer Big Band.

Individual tickets to the event are $200, or $2,250 for corporate tables.

Tickets can be purchased by calling 204-982-2041 or online at winnipeghumanesociety.ca
