To celebrate May as national physiotherapy month, a local clinic will be educating the community in hope of raising money for charity May 8.
River Heights Physiotherapy will open its doors to the public for information sessions on back injury prevention and mini-seminars on running and ergonomic gardening, as well as fitness for healthy weight-loss.
The information session will be held at River Heights Physiotherapy, 534 Waterloo Street, at 6 to 8 p.m.
May 11 at 10 a.m.: Preventing running injuries
May 15 at 7 p.m.: Ergonomic gardening
May 22 at 6 p.m.: Jump start to weight loss and fitness goals.
The clinic is asking for donations to go to the Canadian Tire Jump Star Charity. This charity provides sporting equipment to youth programs in Canada. People can also donate online at jumpstart.canadiantire.ca
