Pops orchestra in the park

The Winnipeg Pops Orchestra will perform at Assiniboine Park’s Lyric Theatre tonight (Wed., June 26).

"We play light classics and pop music," said Timmalee Thompson, principal
flutist in the orchestra. "We’ll have about an hour-long concert."

The Lyric Theatre, located in the park behind the Pavilion Gallery Museum, is an open-air stage that features many summer concerts.

The Winnipeg Pops Orchestra will hit the stage at 7 p.m.
