The St. Vital-based Manitoba Chapter of Osteoporosis Canada will hold a free public awareness forum, titled Breaking News on Broken Bones, on Tues., Sept. 24 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Rady JCC’s Berney Theatre, located at 123 Doncaster St. in Tuxedo.
Dr. Heather Frame will be the guest speaker at the event.
According to MCOC’s website, osteoporosis is a disease characterized by low bone mass and deterioration of bone tissues, which leads to increased bone fragility and risk of fractures. The spine, hips, wrists and shoulders are particularly susceptible.
