It’s nearly time to bundle up and enjoy one of Winnipeg’s most celebrated seasonal traditions.
This year’s Winnipeg Santa Claus Parade will take place on Sat., Nov. 16 in downtown Winnipeg.

The parade will start at Portage Avenue and Young Street, take a right turn at Portage and Main Street and travel two blocks before taking a left and finishing on William Stephenson Way. Street closures along the route will begin at 2:30 p.m. that day.

In terms of the schedule, Santa’s block parties will start at 4 p.m. and the parade will start at 5 p.m. After the parade, there will be entertainment at The Forks provided by the crew from Energy 106 and JD Francis and DJ Breeze, which will be followed by a fireworks display.

Organizers say Winnipeg Transit will be rerouting some of its regular bus routes to accommodate the parade. To learn more, visit www.winnipegtransit.com or call 204-986-5700.
