Scerbo, Lesperance named athletes of the week
The University of Manitoba Bisons athletes of the week are soccer forward Daniella Scerbo and football defensive back Connor Lesperance.

She was named the game MVP and played all 90 minutes of the game, which ended in a 3-3 tie. Scerbo is in the Faculty of Nursing.
Lesperance didn’t start the game against the Regina Rams Sept. 28, but he did help the team finish it. The rookie entered the game in the second quarter after starter Jordan Linnen was ejected for the game. He made his presence known with two key interceptions and two solo tackles, according to a release. The game ended 34-15 for the Bisons.
Lesperance was also selected as the Canada West Defence Football Athlete of the Week for week five of the 2013 season. He is enrolled in the U of M Asper School of Business.
