Shakespeare in the Ruins turns 20

Local theatre company Shakespeare in the Ruins will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a fundraising event on March 15 at the Prairie Theatre Exchange.

Titled Caesar’s Palace, the evening anticipates SIR’s upcoming production of Julius Caesar, and will feature a staged reading of the play featuring local celebs, including Ace Burpee, Jenny Gerbasi, Bartley Kives, Tracy Koga, Stephen Eric McIntyre, Al Rae, Maureen Scurfield and more.

The evening will also feature Gladiator Games — including chariot races — as well as silent and rainbow auctions.

Tickets for Caesar’s Palace are $40 and available by calling 204-957-1753 or by emailing shakespeare@mts.net.
