CAA (Canadian Automobile Association) Manitoba is taking votes in this year’s Worst Roads campaign, so look around the next time you’re driving.
This is the third year that CAA has asked Manitobans to nominate what they consider to be the worst roads, and to think outside the potholes and look at traffic congestion, pedestrian and cyclist safety and light synchronization.
You can cast your vote at https://caaworstroads.com/home/index/3 or on the CAA Manitoba Facebook page until April 23.
You will be asked to identify the stretch of road or intersection and its problems. You can vote one time per road, but can nominate more than one road or intersection.
In 2012, Victoria Avenue in Brandon had the dubious honour of getting the most votes. More than 5,000 votes were cast by Manitobans for 696 different roads.
CAA Manitoba president and CEO Mike Mager said the data gathered is passed on to all levels of governments.
