Winnipeg Harvest has announced the eighth annual Latter-day Saints Summer Food Drive in support of Harvest is underway this week.
The drive, which is being held from July 15 to 20 in St. Norbert, includes 15-year-old Belle DeGuzman. She will be part of a team that will drop door hangers off at homes in different areas of the city. Those with hangers are asked to leave non-perishable food on their front doorsteps July 20. The food will be picked up between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. that day. Hangers will be dropped off in St. James, Charleswood, North, East and West Kildonan, St. Norbert, River Heights, St. Vital and Fort Richmond.
For those who don’t receive a door hanger, there will be four drop-off locations on July 20 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. These include: 700 London Street, 505 Academy Road, 45 Dalhousie Drive and 807 Setter Street.
