Trek for Tourette coming up

Walkers, trekkers and runners, if you want to strut your stuff for a good cause, you may be interested in the 5th annual Trek for Tourette, being held March 24 at Assiniboine Park.

Presented by the Winnipeg chapter of the Tourette Syndrome Foundation of Canada, the event will feature a 5 km trek as well as  Running Room-sponsored 5 km and 10 km timed races.

The trek is part of a national fundraising effort by TSFC and will feature special guests Buck Pierce and Kito Poblah of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. More than 100 people participated last year, and there are dozens of prizes on offer to those who take part, including a pair of lower-bowl Winnipeg Jets tickets.

TSFC is a non-profit organization that supports families and individuals, especially children, who live with Tourette Syndrome. It’s dedicated to improving the quality of life for those with or affected by Tourette Syndrome through education, advocacy, self-help and research.
