A royal victory
Congratulations to the River East Royals bantam A1 hockey team, winners of the Stonewall Bantam Tournament on Dec. 16. After facing teams from Gimli, Beausejour and Stonewall, the Royals squared off against Fort Garry Red in the gold medal game. Justin Turman scored with 39 seconds remaining after a great pass from Evan Paulley to break a 1-1 tie, giving the Royals the victory.
