Empty chair inspires children’s tale

  • On Oct. 3, Stanley Knowles School teachers Torrie Vicklund (left) and Jessica Mayor-Rodrigues, along with students (left to right) Cole Zimmer, Skylar Campbell, Thanesh Harrinarine, Akshat Rawat and Becca Whitmore (hidden) cut the ribbon on a new play structure at the school. Funding for the $142,000 play structure was collected over two years through school fundraising, the Winnipeg School Division’s Children’s Heritage fund and city and provincial grants.
