There’s a new transportation option in Elmwood and Point Douglas.
The City of Winnipeg announced on Sept. 19 the Disraeli Active Transportation Bridge is open to the public. The cycling and pedestrian bridge can be accessed by Rover Avenue to the south and Midwinter Avenue to the north.
The city said in a release it will announce an official grand opening ceremony soon.
The new vehicle bridge opened last October. The entire project, including both bridges, cost $195 million and was a public-private partnership with Plenary Roads Winnipeg.
