An upcoming program aims to help parents curb their addictions.
Starting Tues., April 9, the Andrews Street Family Centre will kick off a nine-week spring session of its Parenting With Addiction program.
The program, which runs three times throughout the year, is geared to parents wanting to learn more about available community supports and relapse prevention, along with how to lead a balanced life, build healthy relationship and set personal boundaries.
The Family Centre offers a range of community and parenting programming, including addictions counselling for anyone facing problems with alcohol, drugs, smoking or gambling.
The Parenting With Addiction group will meet every Tuesday afternoon from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. until June 18.
Certificates will be awarded to those who attend and regularly participate.
The centre is located at 220 Andrews St.
