The Winnipeg Police Service made a drug bust in the North End on Fri., Nov. 22.
According to a release, the Marijuana Grow Operation unit, along with uniform and tactical support team members, seized 302 marijuana plants, with a street value estimated at $338,240, in the 400 block of Manitoba Avenue after executing a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at the premises.
Police also seized four pounds of dry marijuana (with an estimated street value of $10,000), growing equipment (valued at $15,000) and $ 6,975 in Canadian currency.
A 48-year-old Winnipeg man was arrested and is facing charges of possessing a substance for the purposes of trafficking (marijuana), production of a controlled substance (marijuana) and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime.
He was released on a promise to appear.
