Things are getting despicable at Kildonan Park.
On Sat., Aug. 24, the North End Family Centre will host a free movie night in the park to screen the 2010 animated family film Despicable Me.
The film will be projected on a 25-foot screen in the park’s north field at 8:30 p.m. All concessions sold will support the centre.
Featuring the voices of comedians Steve Carell, Jason Segel, and Russell Brand, Despicable Me is about two supervillains trying to outdo one another — one stealing the Great Pyramid of Giza, the other upping the ante by trying to steal the moon.
The movie made more than $500 million at the box office.
The event is being sponsored by East St. Paul realtors Geoff and Regan Archambault, best known for their involvement in Transcona’s Hi Neighbour Festival and Elmwood’s Happy Days on Henderson Highway.
