Garden City CC looking to fill board at AGM June 24

  • Print

The Garden City Community Centre is accepting nominations for board members as it gears up for its annual general meeting on Mon., June 24.

The club will give an update on its current state at the AGM, scheduled for 8 p.m., and will hold elections for board positions.

Nominations are open for all positions, the board says on its website. In particular, it is looking to fill its mini-soccer and softball convenor positions, which remain vacant from last year. Without convenors, youth may be transferred to other clubs, the centre notes.

Details on the club’s constitution, and how to become a board member are available on the club’s website at: www.gardencitycc.com.

The club broke ground on its new Seven Oaks Arena on Fri., June 14. Construction on the $17 million multiplex is slated to wrap up by the summer of 2014 and be open to the public by fall.

The club is located at 725 Kingsbury Ave.

For more information, email the club at info@gardencitycc.com or call 204-940-6111.
