Get involved with Woof Walk

  • Print

D’Arcy’s A.R.C. is looking for a hand — or paw — with an upcoming fundraiser.

The animal rescue centre, located at 730-B Century St., is inviting people to register for its third annual Woof Walk. The event, which will take place at Kildonan Park, is slated for Sept. 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m., and the two-kilometre walk for owners and their dogs will begin at 12:30 p.m.

In addition to the walk, there will be a dog agility demonstration, barbecue, raffle, face painting, and a vendor market.

Organizers hope to raise $20,000 from the event.

Those looking to register can do so online at http://www.events.runningroom.com/site/?raceId=7796 or in-person at the shelter.
