Hut, hut, hike!

Above, Grade 6 Pinkham School student Kenniston Roxas tries to elude a tackle after intercepting a pass at the Inner City Youth Football Program season finale on June 25.

About 100 inner city elementary school students had the chance to learn to play football for free through the program, led by former former Winnipeg Blue Bomber and current CFL referee Dave Donaldson.

The season finale featured games played between eight schools, including William Whyte, King Edward, Norquay, Wellington, Pinkham, John M King, Dufferin and Victoria-Albert.
