Shy speaker? Try Toastmasters
Those who have trouble finding their words in front of a crowd may want to learn from some experienced speakers.
A local chapter of Toastmasters International meets at La Merage Green Garden Restaurant at 99 Isabel St. every second Saturday, where they work on their public speaking skills.
Toastmasters International, established in 1924, is a worldwide non-profit educational group which seeks to help people learn public speaking and leadership skills. It currently has over 280,000 memberships in 116 countries, according to the organization’s official website.
To find out the time and date of the local chapter’s next meeting, contact Roland at 204-668-6393.
