Volunteers wanted for North End cleanup

  • Print

Rain or snow, the St. John’s Residents Association annual community cleanup runs Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to noon.

On its website, the organization says it will have meet up points along Salter Street at the corners of Redwood, Mountain, Machray and Atlantic. There, people can sign in and grab supplies, such as garbage bags and gloves.

The group says it will also be using these intersections as drop off locations for all garbage that is picked up.

After the cleanup, there will be a barbecue at Luxton Community Centre at 210 St. Cross St. Prizes will be given out, and volunteers from Seven Oaks, Inkster and Luxton cleanups will also join in.
