Vandal scores knock-out in St. Boniface

Last time Dan Vandal stepped into the electoral ring, it was a tough and bloody fight as the former pugilist squeaked out a win over the St. Boniface incumbent Franco Magnifico.

But this time around, they should have stopped the fight early as Vandal essentially scored a knock-out.

Vandal will continue to pack a strong left-hook on the ideologically split council.

But given his experience and Mayor Sam Katz’s promise to reach out to both sides of the political spectrum, he could land a spot on executive policy committee.
