Ice jams on the Assiniboine River have caused water to flow over the top of new, higher dikes in some places near Poplar Point, provincial officials say.
Crews are following the slow-moving ice jam to shore up the dike.
No homes have been impacted but the jam could raise the level of the Assiniboine River in Winnipeg by about a foot when it breaks.
One northbound lane of Highway 75 is also closed near St. Jean Baptiste due to water on the shoulder.
The province will begin the process of closing the dike at Morris on Monday and Highway 75 could be closed even to local traffic very soon afterward. It's being monitored hour by hour.
Also closed today is one kilometre of Highway 246, south of Highway 23, due to water on the road.
Highway 268 from Birch River to Lenswood is closed due to a total washout.
