Winnipeg police say no boats are allowed on the city's three rivers due to extremely high water levels.
Boaters are not allowed to go on the Red, Assiniboine and Seine rivers within the city, or to use City of Winnipeg boat launches.
Police said the boat launches are closed. People found guilty of breaking the law could face fines between $300 to $5,000.
Both power boats and paddling boats are not allowed, police say.
Police say people should be cautious around rivers, creeks, streams and retention ponds.
