Manitoba records flu death

WINNIPEG — Manitoba Health said today an adult has died of the H1N1 flu. It's the first H1N1-related death in Manitoba this fall in the second-wave of the virus.

The deceased is between the age of 18 and 65. Manitoba Health did not release any details as to whether the person is a man or a woman, what part of the province they resided, or when they died.

In a statement, Manitoba Health said they were lab-confirmed to have the H1N1 flu and had other underlying medical conditions.

Last spring during the first H1N1 outbreak seven people died in Manitoba.
