Mass H1N1 immunization clinics now closed: WRHA
THE mass H1N1 immunization clinics that were set up across the city in late October are now shut.
The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority said smaller clinics, where appointments will be necessary, will begin operation next week. Locations will be posted on the WRHA's website and the Free Press will also identify the locations on our web site.
Individuals must call ahead to book an appointment -- 786-8004, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
However, WRHA spokeswoman Heidi Graham said there will be occasional clinics where appointments won't be needed and those locations will also be posted on the WRHA's website daily and callers, booking an appointment, will also be given those locations.
A small clinic will operate today at the Kildonan Place Shopping Centre, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Some family physicians will also be stocking the H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccines. You should check with them for details.
The WRHA said 417 individuals received the H1N1 vaccine Friday morning, bringing the total in the Winnipeg region since the campaign began Oct. 26 to 247, 508.
