THERE were 24 Manitoba schools reporting higher-thanusual absence levels Thursday, down slightly from the 27 earlier in the week.
Lakeshore and Turtle River school divisions have been appearing regularly since the province first directed school divisions to post daily school-by-school reports on their websites more than three weeks ago.
Lakeshore's Ashern Central and Early Years schools, and Fisher Branch Early Years School and Collegiate, all reported higher-than-usual absenteeism Thursday.
In Turtle River S.D., Alonsa, Laurier and Grass River Hutterite colony schools were listed Thursday.
In all, 14 divisions of 37 had at least one school with higher than usual absentee rates, which do not necessarily mean there was flu in the school.
Three city schools reported, Lord Wolseley and John G. Stewart in River East Transcona S.D., and Samuel Burland in Louis Riel S.D.
