Most Manitoba MPs plan to play it safe, get vaccine
OTTAWA -- Manitoba NDP MP Jim Maloway was among the thousands of people whose hope to get the H1N1 shot this week was dashed by long lines and confusion.
Lineups at Ottawa flu clinics, like those in Winnipeg and elsewhere in Canada, have ranged from two to three hours at most sites every day this week.

Maloway attempted to get his shot Tuesday night but the long lines meant the clinic stopped accepting patients hours before closing time to ensure they all got through.
Most Manitoba MPs plan to get the shot, including Conservatives Vic Toews, Shelly Glover, Rod Bruinooge, Joy Smith and James Bezan; Liberal Anita Neville; and NDP MPs Niki Ashton, Judy Wasylycia-Leis and Maloway.
Conservatives Merv Tweed, Candice Hoeppner, Steven Fletcher and Inky Mark could not be reached for comments or did not respond when asked.
NDP MP Pat Martin said he is going to "take his chances" and not get the vaccine because he doesn't like to inject himself with anything unless he absolutely must.
Ashton, who earlier this week was quoted in the Hill Times saying she wasn't sure yet if she would get the shot, said Wednesday she had decided to do so.
