The deliciously cranky title and the publicity photo of Leith Clark in Wicked Witch makeup are priceless, but the wit in this local sketch-comedy clunker rarely reaches munchkin stature.

The gay Clark has teamed with the aboriginal Columpa C. Bobb to write and perform this supposed bitch-fest from the perspective of two cantankerous cougars, which ran 20 minutes shorter than its advertised length. The thrown-together attempts at parody and satire are appallingly amateurish and self-indulgent for two theatre veterans. The "cougar insights" are on the level of: "The only thing that has fallen for me lately are my boobs."

There’s a good comic idea in the clash of superheroes Reservation Salvation and Hydro Boy, and some half-decent writing that satirizes racism. We’ll assume Clark and Bobb intended to build on that foundation, but they ran out of time and a tornado blew away their show.

Cantankerous old crones? Yup.

Crusty? Like a baguette.

Spiteful middle-aged *itches with a bone to pick? Hell, yeah.

Dare ya to hitch a ride with these two ole *itches of spite, spit and wit as they begin the hunt for their ruby slippers and anything else that catches their hairy eyeballz.
