African Folktales with Erik de Waal
“In South Africa, where I come from, the giraffes drive SUVs.”
Perennial fringe performer Eric de Waal has been doing this gig long enough to know precisely how to get his juvenile audience laughing.
And that he does with a couple of new stories incorporating puppets and a scary mask.
One is about the repercussions that arise when a mango falls in the jungle. The other, just slightly scary, is about a mother dealing with a cannibal kidnapper.
Not to worry: de Waal reliably keeps it light and safe with his vigorous but gentle demeanour.
