African Folktales with Erik de Waal: Kids Fringe

Kids fringe fixture Erik de Waal knows his audience and half the joy of watching him do his puppetry comes from the way he gets kids to participate in his stories.
Here, the principal tale is about how a mango falling out of a tree causes a cascade of reactions throughout the animal kingdom.
The kids love to correct de Waal’s errors (apparently, the giraffes in de Waal’s hometown have short necks, short legs and drive SUVs) and de Waal in turn easily rolls with the punches when the kids shout out their own unexpected contributions.
