Most people see an overhead projector and get flashbacks to a seemingly long-forgotten biology class.

Set aside those fears when Mind of a Snail — Vancouverites Chloe Ziner and Jessica Gabriel — perform shadow puppetry with the help of the old-school equipment. Cool reverb sound effects, some psychedelic-sounding guitar, a rad attitude and audience participation makes this fun for kids.

Against Gravity is also a blast for grown-ups, especially those who’ve spent some time at the beer tent prior to the show. The duo was a hit at the Winnipeg Folk Festival campground a week ago and its opening night at the fringe was close to a sellout.
