Bits comes as advertised: a little bit of this and a little bit of that from first-time fringe performer Patrick Raymond Joseph Kearns.
The curly-haired entertainer toys with his audience by false-starting with what looks like a grim scene from a Holocaust drama, before announcing his is some other kind of show. Over the next hour, he fails to answer just what kind of show that is.
The only thing that is apparent is that he’s having a good time being interviewed by an acoustic guitar and singing a song called My Canada. He proclaims joy with his material, no matter what any critic declares. "I like the happy that includes the crappy," he says. The over-the-top finale is a visual feast of flamboyant and outrageous performers you might see in a Pride Day parade.
