Stephen Sim and Lee White, along with their computer guy, DJ Hunnicutt (Tyler Sneesby), seek truth in comedy when they invite their audience to offer a true story as inspiration for the Crumbs improv goofiness that follows. They then proceed to decimate the truth as you know it, killing their hometown audience in the process.

Saturday’s show was based on how a married couple met over shots at a bar. Thusly inspired, Crumbs meandered into the realm of working on the railroad (ALL the livelong day), swinging hammers and swinging couples, best friends and the merits of showering, and the advisability of doing shots as therapy.

DJ Hunnicutt added great atmosphere and ramped up the humour in his own digital way with his musical stylings. The audience crumbled with laughter.

From the Fringe program:

CRUMBS are one of the world's most celebrated improv companies. No other company has done more shows for more years in the history of the Winnipeg Fringe Festival. No other improv company has ever toured to more countries for more years than CRUMBS. No other company has DJ Hunnicutt improvising the soundtrack. This year the show is based on your true stories.

Truth is stranger than fiction… until we get our hands on it… then it's funny.
