Winnipeg Free Press - ONLINE EDITION
Beckett meets apocalyptic vaudeville in this strange little fringe treasure by American playwright Liz Duffy Adams. An unnamed cataclysm has shattered the world as we know it, leaving humanity to fight for life in tribes across the land formerly known as the U.S.A.
Rozetta Stone and Dog are Vaudevillians (and Dog may or may not be a talking dog) whose hopes are pinned to a phantom gig in China, if they can only find it. While wandering the wasteland, the two meet up with fellow lost souls Vera Similitude and Jo Jo the Bald-Faced Liar and history, truth and loyalties are tested.
This cast of six fine Winnipeg actors has a blast with Adams’ strange brew of hilarious Shakespearean patois, subverted cultural/historical commentary and the search for fellowship. A weirdly wonderful work that takes flight on the wings of its excellent cast.

From the Fringe program:
"…she is that rare and precious pearl lying in this dark, drear, perilous sea: she is entertainment."
In a dog eat dog world, an ancient tribe of vaudevillians battle extreme climate change, bloodthirsty scavengers, and their own dark past as they wander post-apocalyptic America in search of an audience. A comedy.
