Berkeley, Calif.-based Carolina Duncan incorporates a few spoken words, along with electronic music and dance, in this 45-minute tale of a woman who chooses to exist as a cyborg rather than experience human emotions.
The audience connection is a bit glitchy, but the show has heart, and the reason behind Dolores’s choice makes for moments of gripping, well-rendered drama.
