I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change
A much-loved off-Broadway production, four talented singers, and a lot of laughs make this show an easy pick for mainstream theatre-goers searching for a sure thing.
This musical was written almost 20 years ago, but its slick 75-minute chronicling of the many stages of love — from first dates to bridesmaids to babies and beyond — retains its charm under the musical direction of Gary Brenner. The lyrics are clever, the staging is deft, and Winnipeggers Julie Horbal, Mike Dooley, Mitch Krohn and Alana Penner are appealing.
It’s not perfect, but it will leave you smiling, which is more than one can say about some other fringe flings.

From the Fringe program:
Playing the field is fun when you're young and full of patience. But when you're pushing 30, desperate and watching your sexual peak pass you by... casual dating is a four-letter word.
(For the record, it doesn't get much better when you're past midlife and clawing your way back into the dating scene. Or frantically fumbling for long-lost passion with two screaming brats constantly thwarting your libido.)
It's everything you ever thought about dating, marriage and whoopee but were afraid to admit.
