Good news for aging hippies and new-age boomers: Anantta has brought his "country and eastern" pickin’ and grinnin’ to this year’s fringe. While much of his whimsical patter is clever, all too often Anantta resorts to corny puns that become tedious to the cynical or to those uninitiated into the world of pan-Eastern philosophy.
His rudimentary banjo playing wouldn’t pass muster at the free stage in Old Market Square, but while you may not leave the show humming any of his tunes, you may have some profound questions to meditate on, such as "Can a pig pull a hamstring?"
Although advertised as a 60-minute show, it was a brisk 40 minutes, which meant Anantta didn’t overstay his welcome.
