Lavinia is eight years old and eight feet tall and feels like an outcast. In this heartwarming comedy, she ultimately finds acceptance through a series of fanciful adventures and discovery of her own, imaginative voice.

Vancouver-based actor/writer Tara Travis’ exaggerated facial expressions and high-octane physical antics are a delight. Dressed in ballet togs, she uses simple props and costumes pieces to weave her tale. Her smooth transitions between a kingdom of characters, including her haughty ballet teacher — who later morphs into doppelganger, the evil Queen of Bukva — and Porchenko the tiny warrior, thoroughly engage the young audience. By the end of the one-hour show, Lavinia realizes size doesn’t matter, returns to her loving family and all live, like, awesome ever after.
