Winnipeg Free Press - ONLINE EDITION
Lost and Foundling
In a modern fairy tale set in the expansive kingdom of a Mega Price Mart, a young girl left at the big-box store grows up under the cheery direction of the helpful staff.
Her coming-of-age journey — to the lost-and-found department on the distant western edge of the store — runs afoul of gentle horrors.
The show’s teen cast does well; proof of MTYP’s valuable programs.
Their choreography and co-ordination in large group scenes is impressive — and something not seen too often at the minimalist-favouring fringe.
It’s a charming, sweet piece aimed at family and friends, but anyone who comes to the store will have a good time cheering on Pryce.
