Billed as a modern vaudeville cabaret, this variety show is more of a throwback to the ’50s and ’60s. Winnipeg’s Kami Desilets and Chelsea Rankin could be girls from the Finger Lakes, performing wunnerful renditions of Irving Berlin’s Sisters and other show tunes that would be right at home on The Lawrence Welk Show.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that. While the show gets off to a slow start, the duo dons tap shoes and bowler hats and delivers some pretty darn solid musical numbers, along with a couple of standout comedy sketches. A few bits have an edge, but it’s not too sharp to rank as old-fashioned, family-friendly fun.

— Pat St. Germain

From the Fringe program:

A spot in the fringe festival. A scheduling mix up. A one woman show - with two women. What is a diva to do? Watch the drama (and hilarity) unfold as Kami Desilets and Chelsea Rankin try to cling to the spotlight by desperately singing, dancing, and acting their hearts out in this modern-vaudeville cabaret!
