The bed is the central image of this lively, sexy, fast-paced riff on carnal desire.

The six members of the Edmonton troupe run on it, jump on it, get under its covers and turn it into a platform for games of love. There is no red wine or French toast served during the 45-minute physical theatre romp, as the menu’s special of the day is the fit bodies of the performers. They dance and prance, mostly in their underwear, as they pursue and are pursued by potential paramours of both genders.

In one scene, which could be titled, “You are what you wear,” the trio of men come out dancing in suits, sans shirts, and their female counterparts, wearing slips, promptly strip them of their clothes. When the women don their new garb, they begin acting macho and aggressive with the opposite sex. Then the men appear in the slips, a ridiculous sight that seems to turn on everyone involved. The show’s visual flair extends to a moment where puppet skiers race down mountains made out of bed sheets.

This is Huru-Hara Menarik’s first time in Winnipeg and fringe-goers will certainly look forward to seeing more of them.

What's the worst thing you've ever done to get with someone? And I mean the seediest, sketchiest, most shameful assault on your own morality. Where you debased yourself to the point of being unrecognizable when you looked in the mirror and only after staring deep into your own eyes could you see the shell of who you used to be cowering in the corner of a dark room...that's where this show begins (and there is a fart joke).
