This competently presented comedy/drama follows a group of restless 20-somethings resorting to the personal ads in search of what's missing in their love lives.

The unsatisfactory relationships spotlighted by this Vermont troupe’s three actor/writers through a series of vignettes reveal nothing terribly novel. However, the encounters are often marked by a weird remark that seemingly comes of nowhere for no apparent purpose. “You smell like a skunk,” says a woman to her movie date. “Do you want to warm up your hands up in my armpits?” asks another charmer.

The more interesting aspect of Seeking… involves the cast playing characters of the opposite gender. In some scenes the dynamics are altered — male actor Seth Jarvis portrays a woman complaining about how she has no idea how people see her any more. Most of these dissatisfied folk are really seeking more knowledge about themselves.

A romantic comedy about missed connections, true love and discreet encounters that explores the funny, outrageous, sometimes heartbreaking ways people reach out to each other through the personal ads.
