A pregnant optometrist, a mom, a lesbian and a small-town girl walk into a bar…
Make that a fringe venue and you have Tazzy’s Angels, in which popular Winnipeg comedian Big Daddy Tazz gathers four up-and-coming comedians in this standup show.
Heather Witherden (the mom), Chantal Marostica (the lesbian), Rachel Sommer (the pregnant optometrist) and Cara Lytwyn (the small-town girl) are the featured performers, and while their confidence varies, all offer some decent laughs. Marostica is the stand-out of the group, with some excellent prop gags and a polished style, but all of these women hold their own on stage.
Although Tazz is no John Forsythe, he is a solid comedian, and his bits among the stars of the show are some of its best.

From the official Fringe Festival guide:
One of the most talented comics in the business, Big Daddy Tazz headlines this heavenly stand-up comedy showcase featuring Winnipeg’s top female comedians. Wickedly wry Rachel Sommer, furiously funny Cara Lytwyn, wildly quick-witted Chantel Marostica, sassily self-deprecating Heather Witherden and the incomparably hilarious Big Daddy Tazz create a diverse and entertaining show that has something for everyone.
