There’s no mistaking what you’ll get when you walk into a musical containing the words "trailer park" in the title. Strippers, cat-fights, trash TV and marker-sniffing are all in glorious order here. Unfortunately, it’s the musical part of the show’s moniker that leads to disappointment.
This local company is well-rehearsed and ready to roll, although some of the cast struggles with the vocal range the score demands. The main issue, though, is a lack of memorable songs. If as much work went into this off-Broadway hit’s music as its mining of redneck culture, we’d be in luck. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case.
The show ends on a high note — the finale features one of its best songs — but by then audience’s hopes have been crushed like a beer can against a forehead.

This big-hearted, unashamedly vulgar musical comedy is more fun than a chair-throwing episode of Jerry Springer!
