Silence is golden in this one-hour comedy from Vancouver’s Jackie Minns. A gifted physical comedian, Minns is at her best when dialogue is kept to a minimum as she embodies five characters ranging from a homeless woman to a psychic New Age TV spiritual advisor.

She veers into cornball territory in the New Age sketch and a bit about a loudly aggressive exercise instructor, but Minns fully redeems herself with the remaining characters, imbuing them with shades of Charlie Chaplin and Carol Burnett.

A working stiff silently goes through the motions of his tedious existence, an overscheduled iPhone addict finally gets some peace and a hayseed follows her college-bound son to the symphony in a hilariously poignant finale.

— Pat St. Germain

From the Fringe program:

"Any sufficiently trained actor can alternate laughter and tears - but producing them both in the same moment? That's magic." - Spider Robinson
