Tories would create $5M fund for youth
A McFadyen government would create a $5 million youth fund aimed at supporting programs for at-risk youth, Progressive Conservative Leader Hugh McFadyen said today.
McFadyen said the money would be above what the NDP spend for youth programs.

He said $2 million would go to actual youth-at-risk programming, $2 million to support the hiring of more community workers and $1 million to cover fees for police background checks.
The announcement was made at the Boys and Girls Club office on Main Street.
President and CEO Ron Brown said the extra money would be welcome.
"That's of help to us," he said. "There's never enough money to do what we really needs to be done."
McFadyen also threw more shots at the NDP and Premier Greg Selinger's announcement today on addressing crime.
McFadyen said the NDP press release from 12 years ago on public safety used the same words as the ones used by Selinger today, evidence the NDP's time in power should come to an end Oct.4 voting day.
